Objectives/Purpose
Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) is a newly formed function within Takeda with the objective of enabling Takeda’s business strategy, delivering simplification and cost reduction, improving service and providing a transformation engine for continuous improvement for Takeda. ‘Building and Delivering Simplified and Innovative Solutions’ is our overarching vision with a goal of ‘Patient Centricity’, helping focus us on delivering value for Takeda.
The Compensation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of assigned compensations and benefit operations. Actively support all benefits administration across country in remit and being responsible for managing outsourced vendor services to ensure quality and achievement of SLAs. Also ensuring timely stakeholder query resolution and providing any additional project work support when required.
Primary Duties
- Manage Compensation and Benefits Operations end-to-end ensuring accurate records are maintained and optimal employee support is provided.
- Ensure the administration of the compensation and benefit programs are in line with company policies, plan documentation and applicable regulations.
- Partner with our Center of Excellence and Innovation (COEI) partners to understand upcoming policy and program changes, ensure portal content is up-to-date, and share metrics and opportunities for improvements with our vendor relationships.
- Partner with IT to establish and improve upon technology solutions that will enable us to scale as we grow and provide a seamless employee experience.
- Ensure thorough formal documentation (SOPs) for any business process and accurate records are maintained and optimal employee support is provided.
- Conduct audits of data to ensure processes and policies are being managed effectively and data quality is maintained/improved amongst internal and external systems.
- Lead compliance audits, required filings, and all other compliance related initiatives as required.
- Maintain job evaluation and support existing grading system. Participate in salary surveys, monitor changes in the labor market related compensations and benefits.
- Respond to any inquiry escalations in a prompt manner and partner with vendors to resolve any issues as well as analytic insights on employee inquiries.
- Partner with the HR Business Leaders (current state), and the new Solutions hub (future state) on a regular basis to understand call center metrics and develop action plans for process improvements.
- Manage annual budgeting process and control labor costs.

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise (Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge)
- Experience in similar role with payroll experience desirable
- Knowledge and application of payroll principles, concepts and industry practices and standards desirable
- Understanding of Equity and Mobility programs
- HR Operations or Shared Services environment or HR Functional experience preferred (i.e. HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Staffing, HR Service Center, etc.).
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Workday desirable
