You will be primarily responsible for supporting Atlassian's health, wellbeing, perks, risk insurances, pension programs in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, the Philippines and other countries as needed. You will work closely with our brokers, vendors and internal teams to administer and run our benefits programs. You’ll analyse market trends to ensure our benefit plans deliver value and quality of care. By partnering with our broader Benefits, HRIS, People, Legal, and Finance teams, you will help scale our local programs across the region. You’ll engage with employees to support our programs and ensure employees understand the value of their benefits. You’ll support and stay abreast of all local regulatory compliance requirements.

What you'll be doing:

    • Manage all aspects of benefits administration, claims, annual renewal process, and vendor management
    • Drive employee engagement and participation through education, communication and employee sessions
    • Ensure that the benefits administration is delivered consistently, efficiently, and in line with contract and legal requirements
    • Work with People Operations and HRIS to ensure the benefits administrative processes are properly documented
    • Assist with developing and maintaining absence policies and HRIS system configurations
    • You will have in-depth knowledge of leave programs required across each country and have a sound understanding of HRIS builds, configurations and systems experience
    • Provide cross-functional team support for leave of absences, employee health & safety, and return to work programs
    • Manage employee escalations, exceptions and appeals
    • Research current benefit trends and regulatory/legislated requirements and recommend programs/changes
    • Compile and analyse benefit data for strategic planning and evaluation
    • Leading and project managing benefit programs and implementation end-to-end
    • Work with the global benefits team on projects supporting the global benefits strategy

On day one, we'll expect you to have:

    • Proven experience in HR and benefits, preferably in high growth or corporate environments
    • Bachelor's’ degree in HR, Business, Finance or a related discipline
    • Experience with configuring time off or benefits in Workday or similar HRIS
    • Proven knowledge of benefits practices, operations and compliance
    • Validated analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Demonstrable ability to execute and improve processes
    • Good judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive information
    • Ability to communicate across diverse groups with a clear and approachable style
    • Appreciation for the fact that we work in a global environment that is rapidly changing and growing
