About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to sit in our Technology Solutions projects team.

Working in a varied and evolving role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle project management of technology software implementations, including project delivery and continuous business improvement. Assigned a portfolio from a wide range of business needs (eg. Corporate systems, CRM systems, Commercial systems), you will always have the opportunity to learn something new, and work with a range of expertise from across the organisation.

The role requires a strong leader who is able to take charge and be accountable for delivery involving a wide range of cross-Museum and external stakeholders.

You will additionally ensure effective delivery within time and budget restraints and manage third party clients and suppliers.

About you

A strong leader with excellent communication skills, you are able to manage complex projects and large project teams, whilst effectively maintaining relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will have well-developed influencing and interpersonal skills, with a flexible nature; showing initiative and able to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances

You will have substantial project management experience; including effectively managing large projects with budgets in excess of £250,000. Experience of bespoke packages and tools will be essential for the post holder to be successful in the role.

Change management experience, including communications, engagement and behavioural and cultural change will be advantageous.

All positions at the Natural History Museum are conditional subject to receipt of:

• Proof that you are legally entitled to work in the UK

• A Basic Disclosure Check from the Disclosures and Barring Service (DBS)

• Satisfactory references covering the last 3 years of your employment or education

• Health clearance

The Museum supports flexible working. Whilst this is a full-time post (36hr per week), we are willing to consider and support alternative working patterns or a part-time arrangement (accounting for pro-rata salary).
