Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced, creative, metrics-driven field marketer to own our EMEA Startups audience marketing strategy and execution — creating, delivering, and optimizing differentiated regional marketing programs and experiences that engage and educate Startup organizations on how to be successful with Stripe. The ideal candidate has an unbridled passion for Startups and for helping startup founders hone their strategy and scale their business. You’ll lead a variety of marketing efforts — campaigns, events, user marketing, partner marketing, brand awareness, sponsorships, third party engagements. etc. — across the region, so the ability to understand and respond to regional nuances is essential.
You’ll be counted on to work cross-functionally across several teams, including the EMEA Startups sales teams, communications, product, user operations, and more. As a member of the EMEA marketing team, you will work closely with the Demand Gen team, Partner Marketing team, and the Regional Field Marketing Leads. In this role, you will also work closely with the Startup Partners team to scale our marketing reach through VC and Accelerator partners.

You’ll have proven experience with and a passion for crafting and executing events, tailoring campaigns to high-potential prospects, developing joint offerings with our partners, and crafting experiences that engage and delight our users.

You will:
- Work in close partnership with EMEA and Global Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and the Startup Sales and Partnerships team to develop and execute our startup audience field marketing programs to drive awareness and adoption of Stripe across an audience of startup Founders, CxOs, and developers.
- Work with regional comms and field marketing to develop thought leadership content to engage prospects at the top of the funnel in each region.
- Develop and deliver marketing programs with and through our VC, Accelerator, and Incubator ecosystem—including defining marketing activations tailored to specific business models in their portfolios.
- Build and execute Startups audience focused field events, with a mix of Stripe-hosted events, third party events, webinars, roundtables and brand activations.
- Build and execute mid- and lower-funnel regional marketing programs to accelerate leads and opportunities through the funnel, and generate pipeline and revenue in partnership with the sales organization.
- Be the lead for regional Startups customer marketing, from developing case studies and video testimonials to running customer events and developing customer newsletters.
- Partner closely with the Startups Sales teams to enable efficient prospecting and lead follow up through programmatic approaches.
- Partner with the EMEA events and field marketing teams to ensure alignment and reach of programs, content, and brand.
- Enable sales teams with toolkits, templates, and campaign timelines to ensure alignment between outbound sales and marketing efforts.
- Partner with our EMEA and Global brand team to develop and deploy awareness campaigns across priority regions.
- Track, measure and communicate program results, and seek to generate new global best practices through experimental efforts.
- Generate user insights and partner closely with sales to develop effective campaign strategies and programs based on those insights.
- Refine and document the workings of our Startups field marketing programs and events alongside the team, helping us scale our program across the globe.
- Be creative in finding new ways of advising a diverse range of personas about the value Stripe brings to businesses.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, including expertise in events, customer marketing, account-based marketing, content creation, and multi-channel programs.
- Proven track record of developing sound marketing strategies and running innovative multi-channel campaigns that exceed target goals.
- Remarkable written and verbal communication skills, including being able to convey complex topics with simplicity.
- A startup mentality with a bias to action and the ability to flex in a fast-paced environment.
- Superb organisation and project management skills and the capacity to handle multiple sophisticated projects at once.
- Validated leadership capability and effectiveness working collaboratively and cross functionally.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to craft actionable insights from complex data.
- BA/BS degree (in lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant work experience).
