Bosch Rexroth Eindhoven is the competence center for High-Precision Motion within the Bosch Rexroth organization. Our electronics and software control complex movements in machines of our customers with accuracy down to a nanometer.

Our key product is the Flexible Transport System (FTS, see also video). This is a cornerstone in modern highly automated factories of our customers. Such a system is inherently complex (advanced motion control, accurate positioning, fast movements). Yet, it must be easy to use for our customers.

Job Description

You are part of a team that is responsible for the development of motion control and drive systems, applied in high-end machines in various industries. The team is based in Eindhoven and has daily working contacts with other groups around the world.

You define software solutions for product requirements and are responsible for deploying these specifications to fellow engineers. You design software in accordance with the defined architecture, and contribute to implementation and testing of the software. You coach junior and medior colleagues. You provide effort estimates, plan, monitor and report the progress of your work in the daily standup. You advise on improvements on products and processes, and actively contribute to their realization.

Qualifications

About you:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
• Multiple years of experience in a relevant position
• Experience with embedded software systems
• Experience in setting up software architectures
• Experience with Agile development methods;
• Profound knowledge of programming languages C++, Python
• Knowledge of PLC programming is a pre
• Knowledge of motion control, motor technology and sensor technology is a pre;
• Affinity with the application area of our product: mechatronic systems;
• Good knowledge of English spoken and written, preferably also of Dutch;
• Strength in problem analysis and conceptual thinking;
• Innovation mindset, eager to learn
• Good communication skills; team player;
• Customer-oriented, flexible, result and quality driven.
