In this role, you have the opportunity to lead a global R&D organization of multi-disciplinary at multiple locations for DXR business category in the MR-DXR-OEM organization. In this role you will be part of the MR-DXR-OEM R&D Leadership Team and part of Leadership Team of DXR business category. We are looking for a transformational leader who will continue to improve the team performance to the next level, fosters innovation and that builds strong leadership behaviors and competences in the team.
You are responsible for
· Formulating a long-term vision for the organization, managing the capabilities of the multiple-departments, platformization and ensuring flawless project execution End-to-End by a highly motivated staff. Motivates and inspires a department of Researchers or Developers to add maximum value to Philips.
· Leading multi-disciplinary R&D team of Systems, SW, HW, and V&V that delivers new products/solutions and sustainment of the current products.
· Drive Quality Norm and CoNQ to get the best possible customer experience and drive reliability for both initial systems as installed base.
· Defining sound and consistent product policy and roadmap for the DXR business category, anticipating on market needs and technological trends, in order to support the overall business strategy (in co-operation with Marketing, Customer Service and Operations).
· Implementing a world-class Product Creation Process (PDLM and AD) for that translates technological and product roadmap into an NPI Programs in which all disciplines are effectively represented.
· Execution of NPI & LCM projects with representation from relevant functions with on time and budget delivery.
· Drive Cost Norm in close collaboration with our Procurement Engineering (STET) organization.
· Defining and realizing the technology trends, so that can launch innovative products in healthcare market on an ongoing basis and thereby contribute to the profitability and position becoming the Innovation leader.
· Contributing to the definition of the unit’s objectives and strategy by participating in the Management Team in such a way that all business’s processes can benefit in optimum fashion from one another’s knowledge and capabilities.
· Defining co-development projects inside Philips and outside Philips (partnering), and monitoring the results, so that external technological know-how fully benefits the unit and our own development capacity can be used efficiently and in an economically responsible way (connect & develop).
· Managing the department’s cost budget and guiding and developing his/her staff, so that they have the required (development) tools and procedures at their disposal, as well as keeping their expertise up to the required level, so that the unit continues to have an efficient development organization, thus safeguarding its competitiveness.
· Communicating the business strategy and objectives, so that the employees are engaged and can work with a high degree of independence and can make the right choices/set the right priorities.
· Driving customer engagement, focus on understanding customer complaints and direct interactions with customers to assess future needs in products and solutions.
· Ensures an engaged, inclusive, customer focused, quality mindset, innovative, and inspiring working environment be maintained by motivating, healthy balance, challenging, and coaching for personal growth, entrepreneurship, and customer engagement.
· Leveraging the breadth and depth of the wider Philips organization by demonstrating and role modelling the enterprise mindset.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
·Minimum 15 + years of related management and technical management experience in the medical device industry, with minimum 5 years at a Senior Mgmt. level.
·Demonstrated track record of building and driving high performance teams for results to commitments in software, SaaS, solutions, platform simplification, hardware, and systems engineering, in a highly regulated environment.
·Have a track record on customer facing interactions.
·Have a proven track record on driving quality mindset and results.
·Drive internal and external partnership to accelerate the new products development.
·Demonstrates strong results orientation; this position requires the proven ability to consistently meet and/or exceed goals. The successful candidate must be capable of making commitments, setting priorities, and delivering results on time and on budget.
·Possess strategic agility/vision: Sees ahead clearly; can anticipate future concerns.
·Develops and maintains effective relationships and is capable of quickly earning trust and respect.
·Demonstrated record of decisiveness - an ability to act thoughtfully - and quickly.
·Experience in turning around low perform team.
·Strong overall business and people skills, including strategic planning, executive presentation skills and business financial acumen.
