We are looking for a Product Analyst to help accelerate our insurance product launches. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys a challenge in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be working closely with the Lead Actuary and Product Managers to innovate our insurance product, test and bring products to the market, and analyze the results. You will be involved in cross-functional projects with other departments (Engineering, Data Analytics, Marketing, Product Design, Service, Actuarial).

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Perform data-driven analysis on product features and pricing.
  • Deep dive analysis to understand root causes, identify opportunities, and develop improvement plans.
  • Support state roll-outs, including project management, user testing, insurance filing preparation & review.
  • Build and own periodic reporting to monitor product performance against profit and loss goals.
  • Translate business goals into clear business requirements and rules.
  • Communicate project scope and results with all levels of Noblr.
  • Provide operational support as needed (ex: policyholder resolution, underwriting review)
  • Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.
  • Compiles and analyzes complex internal and external data such as frequency and severity trends by segment, local market growth performance, and coverage level results, both ad-hoc and weekly/monthly as needed, in support of the monitoring and evaluation of state performance.
  • Develops recommendations related to pricing strategy, planning and forecasting, and policy/membership growth.
  • Responds to routine member inquiries elevated by Member Contact teams.
  • Maintains and assists with developing product dashboards and reports in excel, Tableau, or other analysis tools to support the identification of key performance metrics in assigned state(s), region, or countrywide.
  • Works with value chain partners to monitor results of actions implemented by the extended state team.
  • Assists in the development of performance presentation briefing materials for business reviews with extended state team, leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Develops knowledge and builds expertise around current state laws and regulatory environments for assigned state(s).

Minimum Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline or 4 additional years (6 Total) of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 2 years of relevant product and casualty product management/analyst experience conducting research, compiling, and analyzing data, and assisting with the development of recommendations used to make business decisions or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Statistics or related discipline.
  • Intermediate level skills using data querying tools and dashboards including excel, Tableau, or other analysis tools.
  • Experience utilizing data to create briefings/ presentations.
  • Developing knowledge of product related regulations, and risk and compliance requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior analytical experience in product management, data analysis, actuarial, risk management, consulting, or financial services.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Work with a high level of independence and are a collaborative team player.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Experience using complex data to identify challenges and opportunities within assigned business area.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Proficient Excel skills.
  • Experience using SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages.

Compensation:

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $66,300 - $119,500 *(this does not include geographical differential, it may be applied based on your work location).

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

*Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.

Shift premium will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
