The team
Our Sales & Business Development teams collaborate with customers and partners across the globe to help them leverage the DocuSign Agreement Cloud to transform the entire system of agreement process - from preparing to signing, acting on, and managing contracts and other types of agreements. Our team’s partner with some of the largest, most innovative companies in the world in dozens of industries to bring the power of DocuSign to more customers. This Position

The Technical Director/Solution Architect - Partner APJ role is a key representative of the DocuSign Sales team whose role is to guide our most strategic partners and work with key customers and prospects as they respond to the challenges and opportunities on their digital transformation journeys. Working along-side the partner and sales account team, you will be required to help partners understand the value of DocuSign products and help customers translate their business strategy into a technology vision and roadmap to deliver realizable business outcomes leveraging DocuSign’s Agreement Cloud products and related solutions.

This position requires a senior individual with a strong blend of digital transformation, business, enterprise architecture, cloud, ISV and consultative skills. It is an expectation of the role that this individual will be able to build and cultivate meaningful connections with the C-level stakeholders.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Solution Engineering for APJ and would work closely with the APJ Partner team.

Responsibilities

  • Establish technical credibility and maintain knowledge of the DocuSign products to expert level of competency. Have a deeper level of expertise around the DocuSign Agreement Cloud and partner related solutions
  • Technical Advisor to our Strategic partners supporting enablement of their sales and presales teams including working to co-create the Account strategies and technology vision for joint key customers
  • Become a trusted advisor to C-level contacts and their teams as they look to transform our joint partner GTM and customer experience
  • Knowledge and ability to articulate key concepts in digital transformation, customer and employee experience and the application of emerging technologies.
  • Lead specific enterprise architecture engagements in key accounts. Understand the customer’s business strategy and technology needs; identifying the key capabilities and technology enablers required and linking these to business outcomes
  • Be accountable for the development of joint offerings, business case documents, visioning proposals, enterprise architecture artifacts, solution roadmaps and executive presentations.
  • Work within a matrix-style organization, collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide sales, pre-sales and customer resources on strategic opportunities.
  • Participation in the development and delivery of solution best practices, Industry reference architectures and educational sessions to internal audiences, partners and to our existing customers relating to DocuSign Agreement Cloud products.
  • Engage in meaningful business and technical conversations, sharing industry insights with key stakeholders from all levels and business units within large enterprise organizations
  • Articulate selected recommendations and the business value they provide to diverse audiences
  • Work collaboratively with sales partners and other internal teams to ensure adequate knowledge of DocuSign products and our sales process to provide a world class buying experience
  • Work with marketing as a key representative of DocuSign at key partner and customer focused events and in the generation of public facing content.

Required experience / Skills

  • Proven experience in creating, selling or implementing technology-based solutions
  • Experience working with partner organizations (System integrators, ISVs, Resellers) to support field enablement and Customer engagements
  • Functional architecture and business capabilities architecture
  • Ability to identify and communicate the business value of technology decisions
  • Key experience in Digital Transformation, Process Re-engineering, Strategy development
  • Multi-year experience in either a software vendor or enterprise architecture disciplines
  • Excellent experience in the principles of cloud based platforms and their place in an organization's IT strategy and enterprise architecture.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent in relevant work experience
  • Ability to travel 40% or more as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep experience working in one or more industries
  • Familiarity with solution selling or equivalent Sales Methodologies
  • Familiarity with modern Digital Operating Models and Transformation programs
  • Experience of architectural frameworks, principles and tools
  • Familiarity with design thinking and or similar frameworks
  • Familiarity with relevant industry (regional, vertical,) data privacy, security and compliance requirements for Cloud
  • Experience in developing and leading EBCs
  • Experience in developing GTM programs that are relevant to GSI offerings
  • Familiarity with specific SAAS systems such as DocuSign, Salesforce, SAP, Intelledox preferred
  • Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle management, workflow, electronic Signature solutions
