As a Revenue Marketing Manager, you will develop the marketing strategies that attract, grow and retain Gusto’s second-largest customer segment, Accountants, using all the products and programs created by our Educational and Community (E&C) teams. This is a newly established role necessitated by the extraordinary growth at Gusto in the broader accounting community. You’ll be responsible for creating highly targeted marketing funnels for all E&C initiatives and then helping existing accountant customers grow more quickly.

We’re looking for a proactive, well-rounded, and experienced B2B marketer who understands that a strong cohesive strategy, tied to an organization’s North Star goals is the key to success. The ideal candidate is a data-enthusiast, not only adept at developing strategies but also at establishing scalable and repeatable playbooks that deliver results while keeping an eye out for new opportunities to innovate and grow.

You will be empowered by the Head of Accountant Community and your teammates will include rockstar subject matter experts and the team leading the charge for some of the most innovative Accountant educational and community efforts to emerge in the industry in decades. We believe that the best marketing efforts are without silos and you can expect to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams representing Marketing, Product, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Customer Experience.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day for Education & Community (E&C):

  • Understand Gusto’s mission for Accountants and how those customers will contribute to our continued success at Gusto; develop targeted marketing strategies, plans and KPI’s aligned to company-segment objectives; own these metrics and be on the lookout for opportunities to improve.
  • Develop systems and processes that allow you to keep a close eye on the full-funnel lifecycle of all E&C programs, from customer awareness, acquisition and short-to long term nurture.
  • Proactively consider ways that marketing can be leveraged at every stage in both E&C customer journeys
  • Contribute to organization-wide efforts to improve comprehensive attribution data models that tie marketing activities in E&C initiatives to overall business results.
  • Lead and coordinate the contributions of multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver demand generation E&C oriented campaigns designed to increase conversion rates and lower our cost to acquire new Accountant customers
  • Experience with multi-touch attribution and media mix models.
  • Experience working with multiple marketing functions such as brand and content, and can connect the dots between E&C programs to create full-funnel marketing campaigns.
  • Define measurements of success (KPIs) for E&C campaigns, develop a testing framework, and analyze data to understand the impact of new marketing channels.
  • Create revenue marketing reporting dashboards for E&C and share relevant insights regularly with internal teams
  • Communicate growth performance to executive leadership to promote a shared understanding of performance marketing strategy, ROI, and opportunities

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • 5+ years experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, digital marketing, or relevant role
  • 2+ years experience in overseeing the development and execution of integrated programs
  • Knowledge of the latest growth marketing practices
  • Project management skills with the ability to work independently and cross-collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic big-picture thinker, that can plot a campaign from idea to execution; ownership mindset
  • Creative and enthusiastic problem solver who possesses the ability to lead with authority and influence
  • A data-driven marketer who leans heavily on KPI’s and analysis to identify their next best action
  • Organized, with immaculate attention to detail
  • Clear and precise communication skills, verbal and written
  • Knowledge of the Accounting / HR / Benefits space a plus

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $106,000 - $132,000 in San Francisco & New York, and $95,500 - $119,000 for Denver and most remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
