Providence is calling a Nuclear Medical Technologist II (Per diem/Variable Shift) to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.

We are seeking a Nuclear Medical Technologist II who will perform clinical diagnostic nuclear medicine testing, including general studies, cardiac studies, and the computer interactions associated with these studies.

In this position you will:

• Follow Universal Protocol at all times to ensure correct patient, correct procedure, and correct side
• Implement and maintain established department, unit, and hospital policies, procedures, and objectives as well as improving organization performance program, safety, environmental, and infection control policies
• Administer isotope dosage accurately following established departmental procedures; accurately record dosage administered. Observes patient during procedure and report any unusual occurrences to appropriate personnel
• Develop film including evaluating film for technical quality
• Maintain Nuclear Medicine equipment in efficient operating order; perform preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis; contact outside services for major malfunctions
• Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops as required
• The following job accountabilities may be reassigned:
• Check supplies and accessories on a regular basis

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Graduate from a program in nuclear medicine
• BLS for Healthcare Providers sponsored by the American Heart Association. NOTE: If employee/applicant has certification by the American Red Cross-CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, this will be accepted until card expiration
• CA License in addition to ARRT and/or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board)
