DevOps Release Manager

Job Description

KPMG is currently seeking a DevOps Release Manager to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day to day technical administration including release management, coordinate platform upgrades/functional updates, analyze log files, code branching, configure file changes, update installation and configuration documents, perform validation/testing, manage change control and perform technical issue/problem resolution
• Track and report status, manage risks/issues across multiple concurrent releases impacting different workstreams of the program; ensure compliance to Entry and Exit governance criteria on every deployment
• Coordinate with business analysts, project leaders and customers to coordinate release schedules and supervise developers in the release process; manage and execute emergency release activities in case of critical production outages
• Support technical platform lead for a specific SaaS platform
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and perform internal technical SME functions for the vendor platform
• Act as a resource to development and admin staff, in all phases of development and implementation processes

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years recent and progressive experience with Release Management in the vendor platform, including packaging releases at the end of each sprint, publishing release notes detailing content of each release package, preparing and using production release checklists
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
• Strong understanding of the development and release processes in the vendor platform
• Deep functional and technical knowledge of the vendor platform administration, configuration and development; experience tracking work through the SDLC Scrum/Agile Development module
• Experience with SAFe or any other Agile Framework, Mulesoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow and/or Data Platforms experience is preferred
• Background as a technical development lead or release manager on medium to large size application development projects
