Job Description Summary
The Content Marketing Team at Travelers comprises creative, out-of-the-box thinkers and high-energy storytellers that bring our content strategy to life. As a Director, Content Marketing you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of content strategies for an assigned business area.
Travelers offers a hybrid work location model that is designed to support flexibility.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the development and delivery of content strategies for content marketing initiatives for Personal Insurance products.
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure content aligns to business goals and strategies and delivers on their objectives.
- Manage freelance writers, editors, and designers to create compelling content.
- Develops content inclusive of articles, landing pages, infographics, videos, webinars, podcasts, and long-form written content.
- Utilizes a wide array of content and SEO applications, software, and tools. Stays abreast of cutting-edge technology and makes recommendations on potential enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with established design, written, and/or multimedia content and brand standards and techniques consistent with marketing objectives and recommend adjustments to maintain relevancy.
- May manage others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of related content development experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
- Requires general knowledge of the creative development, design, copy, production and media planning functions and the ability to integrate and coordinate internal and external resources.
- Requires some general insurance industry knowledge.
- Requires general knowledge of company product/services and marketing strategies to develop company digital channel content and maximize traffic to sites.
Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field.
- Typically has 4-6 years of content and/or digital marketing experience.
- Advanced knowledge of content marketing strategy and best practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of insurance industry, company product/services and marketing strategies to develop company digital channel content and maximize traffic to sites.
Job Specific Technical Skills & Competencies
- Advanced ability to think strategically, creatively and outside the box in developing designs for marketing efforts.
- Intermediate project management skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- General analytics, data visualization, and problem-solving skills.
