Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Manager Revenue Cycly Analytics Operations PSJH to work remotely within our footprint states: CA, MT, OR, TX and/or WA.
We are seeking a Manager RCS Analytics Operations PSJH who will be responsible for managing the RCS Analytics Operations team. The role (and team) support the RCS Analytics team, leadership, and its stakeholders/customers. This position is seen as an accountable lead for analytics-related projects. This position is responsible for various supporting, administrative and customer facing activities including, but not limited to: intake/triage management, artifact management, policies & procedures, effort/time estimation, product training & evangelism, inventory review with customers/leadership, resource onboarding, analytics ecosystem management, etc. The role will also be responsible for cross functional projects and initiatives.
This hands-on position will primarily manage analysts, trainers and administrative resources. This position allows other analytics teams to better focus on their areas of expertise and consolidate the support, training, administrative and non-delivery activities in one centralized team. The role is expected to continuously engage with department leaders to ensure needs and goals are met. This position would manage both direct and virtual teams, both on and offshore. The position requires superior organizational and communication skills, and an ability to organize activities and move initiatives forward in an ambiguous environment. The role requires a leader who promotes an expectation of high quality deliverables and ensures highly effective products through cross-training and quality assurance practices.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
- Manages a staff of analysts, trainers, and other administrative resources. Provides mentoring and oversight. Responsibilities include recruitment, performance management, and ongoing professional development. Ensures staff conduct their work commensurate to their roles, provides opportunities to stretch and grow, and counsels under performing resources according to PSJH guidelines.
- Responsibility for projects, and often acts as a project manager, with an emphasis on projects that span multiple Data Insight department functions. Will often act as dept. liaison to RC & other project managers.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of effective platforms and processes for managing department work inventory: intake, triage, project estimation, pipeline/inventory management, etc. Proactively trends / advises Data Insight leads on delivery challenges and tracks mitigation efforts. Facilitates prioritization escalation when needed.
- Conducts frequent review of pipeline content with Data Insight leads and ensures inventory is up to date and accurate
- Ensures customers have a transparent view to the inventory, and facilitates frequent opportunities for interaction/discussion of inventory items ie. status, content, priority, delivery dates,etc. Responsible for measuring and acting on (analytics) customer sentiment (surveys, benchmarks, KPI’s, etc.)
- May be assigned tasks to pursue unblocking or escalating items affecting timely delivery of Data Insights work items.
- Leverages strong knowledge of analytics landscape at Providence to provide analytics training / evangelism to RC customers.
- Acts as, and/or manages resources, that perform analytics training/evangelism: the process of helping consumers locate and use published analytics products, including 1:1 training, brown bags, classes, etc. Develops training materials including user guides, videos, etc.
- Ensures the effective capture, storage and reporting of analytics product utilization.
- Organizes and manages Data Insights artifacts for effective storage and retrieval including work products, P&P’s, metadata, onboarding materials, etc.
- Manages all analytics tool/platform/ecosystem objects for the Data Insights team. Ensures products are up to date, functioning properly, and acts as system administrator where not already administered by Providence IT, HI or other entity. Proactively manages strategy around migrations, transitions and platform driven changes.
- Develops and manages guidelines for code/product management and SDLC (source code, analytics products, change control, testing, etc.). Monitors and reports on guideline adherence metrics. Recommends and monitors actions to close adherence gaps.
- May be asked to lead and/or participate in data quality initiatives
- Partners closely with HI, IT and other key areas of dependence and interaction.
- Collaborate with system level analytic and data departments to ensure collaboration across teams, avoid duplication of development offerings, and guiding caregivers to the most appropriate PSJH analytic resource to meet their needs.
- Reviews, and acts upon pertinent survey and feedback information from customers, stakeholders and RCS leadership.
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, inter-team leaders and system/regional analytic leaders.
- Provides effective and intuitive status of workload (inventory, in-flight, break-fix, etc.) to relevant parties for review and prioritization. Ensures blocks to delivery are properly communicated/escalated.
- Serves as key member of RCS Data Insights leadership and works to help ensure departmental alignment to RCS functions, initiatives, leaders and corresponding stakeholders.
- Has a keen eye for talent and ensures cross-training and bench strength contingencies.
- Shares best practices with other members of the RCS Data Insights team as a way of improving upon the collective development of team members.
- Proactively identify issues that may impact the successful execution of key initiatives, strategies, or program plans, and escalate issues that arise.
- Manages confidential and time sensitive information with integrity.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, or related discipline or equivalent education/experience.
- 3 years of progressively increasing responsibility in management level (project and/or people) experience with preferred focus in data management, analytics, data science, platform development, or analytics program management
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, or related discipline or equivalent education/experience.
- 3 years Revenue Cycle experience
- 3 years Analytics product development experience (dashboards, reports, data engineering)
- 3 years Project management, change management, facilitation, business transformation, and process improvement methodologies
