Our team is growing and effective immediately, we are looking for an exceptionally passionate and data driven Growth Product Designer who will help us reach the next 3 million customers. Ancestry is the largest provider of family history and personal DNA testing, harnessing a powerful combination of information, science, and technology to help people discover their family history and stories that were never possible before. Ancestry’s suite of products includes AncestryDNA, AncestryProGenealogists, Fold3, Newspapers.com , Find a Grave, Archives.com , and Rootsweb. As a Product Designer - Growth at Ancestry you would be an essential part of our UX team reporting to a Director of UX & Design. We have critical UX problems to solve, but we also honor harmonizing our work and life. After all, our business depends on strengthening family ties. You will join an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial team to play a critical role in how we learn, build, and become a more data-driven product organization.

What You'll Do:

    • You will collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams to optimize the user experience by identifying and prioritizing opportunities, forming hypotheses, and creating and designing experiments.
    • Rely on metrics, experimentation, rapid testing, and your knowledge of existing best practices to identify practical new solutions to common customer problems that grow business.
    • Translate quantitative data and qualitative insights into multiple design concepts and prototypes; balancing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail with speed for low-fi prototype testing.
    • Align with our design system and component library team and contribute to the existing collection of scalable design frameworks and solutions as required.
    • Collaboratively develop strategies and present hypotheses for regular and continuous testing, learning, and iteration.
    • Freedom to question institutional knowledge as the voice for customer-centric design innovation all the while meeting business goals.
    • Build a culture of experimentation and A/B testing.
    • You have good prototyping skills and are able to communicate clearly and effectively with an experience engineering team.

Who You Are:

    • 3+ years of relevant experience. Bonus points for anyone with time dedicated to data driven design for growth and/or optimization.
    • Experience applying qualitative and quantitative data to design.
    • You've mastered your craft including strong visual and interaction design, sketching, prototyping.
    • Expertise with various design and prototyping tools, including Figma.
    • Thrive working with a small team in an ever-changing environment.
    • You are trusted, willing to learn, and excited to collaborate with others.
    • You are a team player with the ability to influence and work successfully with peers.
    • You thrive in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment.
