Job Description

We have an exciting opening for the role of Senior Product Manager Skincare opening at Clinique. The role is responsible for leading all category relevant launches at Clinique from the execution of launches in-store and online by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams plus delivering exciting and relevant media plans.

The role reports to the Product Marketing Manager and has one direct report consisting of the Marketing Co-ordinator.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

  • The timely development and execution of seasonal new product launches and product re-promotes, sampling and merchandising programs, within specified categories, as approved by the Product Marketing Manager and Marketing Director, in accordance with global Brand guidelines.
  • Lead the amplification of core basic business categories with regular re-focus programmes and events that maintain an always-on focus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages relevant categories. Provides input into the development of all launch execution plans and ensures timely implementation of any programmes within these categories.
  • Assists Product Marketing Manager in the planning and delivery of the UK marketing calendar.
  • Partners with the Demand Planning Team to develop forecasts for new product launches in relevant categories, for approval by Product Marketing Manager.
  • Holds monthly updates with Demand Planner to ensure correct inventory of saleable line items based on marketing calendar and strategy to minimise out of stocks and excesses.
  • Works to ensure all programme elements move forward on a timely basis (including copy, legal/claims approval, artwork proofing, merchandising and display elements, saleable, samples, testers, etc.).
  • With Product Marketing Manager & Visual Merchandising Director, determines merchandising ‘look’ of new product launches and trends. Lead all briefing of merchandising units with the in-house 3D designer & manage the internal sign-off process of all units.
  • Supports on media planning for the relevant product categories by attending & contributing to weekly updates with media agency, leading all relevant skincare category media execution in print/OOH/TVC. In addition, work closely with the Digital marketing team to agree creative messages and execution.
  • Prepares and presents the marketing programmes for the relevant categories at seasonal Sales Conferences. Aids in developing seasonal Sales sell-in materials. Writes related Marketing Fact Sheets.
  • Contribute to marketing presentations by retailer for seasonal Strategy meetings, customised for each retail account.
  • Lead the marketing relationship for the relevant retailer account and develop the retailer specific marketing calendar. In addition, lead the development of all retailer specific marketing activities.
  • Regularly input & lead the day-to-day budget updates for all point of sale & retailer specific activities. Works with BMG regularly to reconcile budgets. Ensure purchase orders are raised on timely basis and are in line with budgets.
  • Oversee various budget requirements e.g. building and updating every month within requirements
  • Interpretation and understanding of monthly NPD data and reporting back to the business on key trends.
  • Regularly updates launch master presentations to ensure they reflect the latest picture of the launch specific activation.
  • Leads discussions at Operations meetings as they relate to relevant categories.
  • Updates Marketing Manager and Sales Director on any new product shipping information.
  • Oversees preparation of all creative/copy requests relating to the above categories.
  • Lead and input into creative ideation for new launches and key basic business products.
  • Makes recommendations for retail pricing on all new product launches and gift sets in accordance with global Brand guidelines. In addition, lead the annual pricing review for the brand in partnership with the relevant team.
  • Prepare updates for the Product Marketing Manager and Marketing Director at weekly catch-ups
  • Communicates on regular basis with Global Marketing to outline market needs. Provides regular feedback on new product launches and other programmes, as well as on local market trends and competitive activity.
  • Work collaboratively with the Digital Marketing team, CRM, Retail Marketing and E-commerce to ensure all teams are well briefed on forthcoming launches and activities.
  • Aids Product Marketing Manager on any other projects as assigned.
  • Responds to queries and requests from Field and Global Marketing on a timely basis.
  • Attends bi-annual Education seminars to gain Clinique philosophy and product knowledge.

Qualifications
  • Position requires minimum 5+ years’ marketing experience in a similar or related industry.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills, as well as excellent computer skills, including in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exhibit a keen ability to handle a multitude of projects at one time and be proactive.
  • Highly organised and detail oriented. Excellent team player with positive attitude.
