The Impact You’ll Make

As the Partnerships Manager, you’ll work with the Partnerships team and cross-functionally to manage and grow the existing partner ecosystem. This individual should be proactive, strategic, technical, and able to strike a balance between what’s best for our partners and what’s best for Nextdoor. You will primarily drive or support revenue by managing a broad ecosystem of ad-tech and local business partners running from measurement & attribution, Ads APIs, to listings management platforms. You will have the opportunity to help accelerate our roadmap by managing and growing both small and large partnerships that will help us accelerate.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and growing our commercial partnerships - supporting our Business Solutions group
  • Managing and growing measurement, attribution, data, API, and SMB ecosystem partners, as well as bespoke strategic partnerships
  • Working with Partner Leads and cross functional teams to onboard, manage, rollout, and expand partnerships
  • Working cross-functionally to roll out processes and scale our partnership ecosystem
  • Managing regular weekly, monthly and quarterly calls with partners to keep partnerships on track, communicate areas of improvement, and look for ways to expand
  • Partnering with multiple cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, product, sales, and marketing to ensure commercial partnerships are successful end-to-end
  • Managing all elements of the partnership process, including billing, troubleshooting, and contract renewals.
  • Think creatively for ways to expand partnerships into other areas of the business, both monetization and non monetization KPIs
  • Staying connected to the industry through events, conferences, and keep you finger on the pulse of the industries you cover
What You’ll Bring to The Team
  • 6+ years demonstrating experience as a partnerships and business development professional for large-scale consumer products in an agile environment, preferably including work on social networks, social media or marketplace products
  • Deep empathy for partner needs and insights, as well as an intuitive grasp of the business problems we’re trying to solve
  • You act like an owner, you experiment & learn quickly, and you think big
  • You are a good communicator, relationship builder, and you like negotiating, but are also quantitative and feel comfortable ideating around complex technical integrations
  • Experience delivering value across the advertising ecosystem. Bonus for subject matter expertise across both Enterprise and SMB customer sets
  • Equally empathetic about the neighbor experience on Nextdoor - keeping this as the north star when executing against revenue priorities
  • Expertise in API networks that drive monetization, particularly in an advertising ecosystem
  • Experience re-negotiating large consequential deals with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate the partnership process both externally and internally - ability to work cross functionally to promote partnership ideas, and get things done
  • Deeply curious about how to empower neighbors to strengthen their communities, how local businesses enhance their communities, and about what makes different neighborhoods around the globe thrive
