Bosch Automotive Service Solutions, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer at its facility located at 6400 Technology Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Develop software to support the key clients diagnostic tool. Responsible for understanding the diagnostics requirements and follow standards for design, architecture, coding, and validation. Quote individual software tasks with an accuracy within given assumptions. Communicate challenges or roadblocks to given assignments in a timely manner. Understand OEM Diagnostic specifications and evaluate ODX format for correct modeling and linking of the Diagnostics to System Components that are deployed to ECUs using VCI. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering plus 3 years of professional work experience in designing OEM Diagnostic specifications and ODX format for correct modeling and linking of the Diagnostics to System Components that are deployed to ECUs. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) Analyzing Diagnostic Requirements and performing rationality assessments, developing customer-facing application software and “On Board” vehicle communication; (2) Data models and integration technologies such as (S)FTP, HTTP(S), JSON, and XML, Windows, UNIX, Linux operating systems, CANalyser, J1850, UDS diagnostics, SQL Database design, management, patterns and practices; (3) ASP.NET, MVC framework, Java, JavaScript CSS, System analysis and design, data mining, and data analytics; (4) Evaluating CDD (CANdelaStudio diagnostic description) and ODX (Open Diagnostics data eXchange format) reports to assert correct deployment of diagnostics to ECUs; (5) Diagnostic parameter elements (Data Identifies (DIDs), Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), Control Parameter Identifiers (CPIDs) and Parameter Identifiers (PIDs)), C# and .Net 4.5 (or newer), Visual Studio 2015 (or newer), SQL Server 2005 (or newer), ASP.NET, MVC framework, Java, and JavaScript CSS; and (6) Agile methodology and with Jira, backlogs, iterations, user stories or similar Agile tools.
