Job Description Summary Responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic team selling program. Work with Sales Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) on individualized sales finals across multiple product lines, utilizing the expertise of presentation teams, product managers and internal support groups.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize with Sales RVPs on each opportunity by utilizing notes, agenda and sales strategy write-up to identify distinct areas of influence, opportunities and critical issues for the prospect.
  • Identify and secure the designated presentation team based on the needs assessment of the prospect, with specific emphasis on key issues, special needs and customized delivery of materials and services.
  • Conduct internal meetings with the presentation team, product managers and internal support groups (Pricing, RFP, system analysts, etc.) to focus the necessary resources on the opportunity, including facilitating with client management and new business services.
  • Participate in due diligence site visit meetings.
  • Manage all aspects of prospect, retention and due diligence meetings.
  • Provide senior management with reports on new business opportunities and sales strategies, during weekly business meetings.
  • Conduct post finals follow-up with Sales RVPs and the presenters to identify current and future team selling needs.
  • Analyze win/loss consulting surveys to identify areas of improvement for the team selling program.
  • Analyze competitive data to establish appropriate positioning.
  • Manage related sales projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of experience in the retirement services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the retirement market, including Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit.
  • In-depth knowledge of 401(k), 401(b), nonqualified and defined benefit plans.
  • Knowledge of competitor products and services.
  • Advanced presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience working effectively with a variety of people at all levels within and outside the company.
  • Background in business planning and project management.
  • Proficient using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce.com.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment.
  • Occasional travel (approximately six trips per year).

It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. **

Compensation:

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $100,000 - $135,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

Bonus Eligibility:

This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion.

Working Environment:

Employees will be assigned to one of the following work location designations:

  • In office employees will perform all of their work at a Company office location.
  • Hybrid employees will need to work at a Company office location at times and a remote work location (typically their home) at times.
  • Commuting Remote employees will need to report to a Company office location at times, but will perform their work primarily remotely.
  • Non-commuting Remote employees will not be assigned to report to a Company office location (although they may need to travel to a Company office upon request) and will perform their work remotely.
