Collins Aerospace Aerostructures is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to implement the company’s ACE/Continuous Improvement strategy. You will influence others regarding matters of significant quality importance and improve processes and systems to enhance quality performance using ACE/Continuous Improvement tools. You will establish operational plans for work area. You will be the recognized master within the discipline, having deep knowledge of theory and organizational practices within a specific discipline. You will develop and implement new products, processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results. You will also significantly improve on existing processes and practices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements lean, continuous improvement, and six sigma (Process Certification) processes in accordance with the ACE Criteria and program directives.
  • Leads large and complex transformation initiatives that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions focused on continuous improvement.
  • Sets the direction for the application of ACE tools and methodologies in business and manufacturing environments to drive best in class processes while working to become a recognized ACE Practitioner/ACE Master.
  • Develops methods for identifying and implementing best practices to ensure quality control procedures effectively evaluate an organization's products.
  • Leads large ACE Site Assessments to enable ACE site and cell certifications.
  • Analyzes complex monthly ACE Performance Metrics to ensure that organization objectives in the areas of cost, efficiency, and quality are met.
  • Develops and implements standards for the proper application and interpretation of the ACE criteria that is required to become a certified ACE Silver/Gold assessor.
  • Provides specialized expertise for the content of ACE training materials to ensure a successful ACE Certification Program.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Previous project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace composite manufacturing experience
  • Experienced in ACE operating system
