The Synergies and Cost Reduction team is looking to add an engaged and driven leader to our team. This role works with leaders in Operations, Finance/FP&A and Accounting across each Collins business. This team is responsible for all financial reporting on cost reduction initiatives, including headcount, synergies, and footprint projects. This team also maintains and publishes business case templates that support project approvals; we serve as a resource and sounding board for project owners. The outputs from this team support decisions made by the ELT and track our external commitments to the Street.

This Manager, FP&A is a key part of the Collins Finance organization, ensuring financial policy compliance for all footprint and restructuring projects. The leader in this role will engage with business leaders to understand project scope and provides timely management reports to communicate monthly and quarterly performance. The individual in this role must be able to analyze the success of our cost reduction efforts and help drive business decisions by effectively communicating current business challenges and dynamics to senior leaders.

This position can be worked remotely, from anywhere in the domestic U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial support to business leaders to achieve cost reduction goals
  • Support closing process through analysis on footprint, restructuring and engineering savings initiatives
  • Support project reviews, business case analysis and ELT initiatives
  • Partner with SBU Finance teams to support quarterly cost reduction reporting
  • Support Long Range Plans and Strategic Plans
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality due to frequent exposure to projects prior to approval or announcement
  • Assist in Ad Hoc requests from Collins and RTX finance leadership
  • Executive presence to engage with senior leaders in frequent presentations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • Prior leadership experience managing people and developing talents
  • Organization and analytical skills
  • Track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
