Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Plans, directs, and co-ordinates the team’s activities to manage and implement project and/or interrelated projects from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage.
• Determines, monitors, and reviews all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk.
• Leads the project team in determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans.
• Identifies and assembles the appropriate blend of resources to meet project needs and requirements; manages sub-contractors.
• Plans, schedules, monitors and reports on activities related to the project.
• Develops project control and reporting procedures and manages changes in operational plan.
• Undertakes status review meetings among project team members and clients.
• Works with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules.
• Coaches and advises team members to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues.
• Proactively influences customers to apply project-planning methodologies.
• Ensures adherence to legally binding requirements.
• Controls project requirements, scope, and change management issues.
• Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria.
• Develops, proposes, and negotiates project proposals, quotations, and add-ons to leadership and the client.
• Analyses needs and recommends appropriate planning concepts and tools to be used for all facets of planning, scheduling, and tracking projects.
• Analyses project progress/costs and facilitate the development of recommended alternatives.
• Integrates and uses Project Management methodologies.
• Creates communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders.
• Advises senior management on Project Management capability and risk.
• Maintains awareness on emerging technologies and Project Management techniques.
• The PM could work on any time zone (US/EMEA/APAC with some overlaps) depending on the projects he supports, following the U.S. calendar of holidays. Hours could vary depending upon client needs,


Roles and Responsibilities:
•Manage Network Infrastructure projects/programs
within the United States and internationally (global).
•Plans, directs, and co-ordinates the team’s activities to
manage and implement project and/or interrelated
projects from contract/proposal initiation to final
operational stage.
• Manage tasks assigned to architecture, solutions engineering, solution certification, deployment, managed service vendors, regional operations and implementation resources.
• Manage projects simple to complex in nature, interacting directly with Customer, Governance, Vendors and the other Teams & Leadership for projects that range in duration from 2 months to 1 1⁄2 years
• Develop implementation cadences and “t-minus schedules”
• Determines, monitors, and reviews all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk.
• Leads the project team in determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans.
• Working Knowledge of MSP schedule is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (peers, managers, engineers, account leaders and project managers including good, active listening skills.
• Proactively create governance level reporting for the Customer Governance team (high-level milestones)
• Maintains awareness on emerging technologies and Project Management techniques.
Relevant Domain Experience
• Approximately 8 – 10 years of experience with at least 4 years Project Management, coordination and vendor management.
• Knowledge of DNS, Data Center, Mainframe and Mid-Range infrastructures, circuits.
• Knowledge of Voice and VoIP telecommunications and network
• Voice Networks (phone systems, call centers)
• Data networks (LAN, WAN, Router, Switch, and B2B)
• Firewall, Packet shaper, DMZ, Riverbed concepts and infrastructure required for these
• Working knowledge of MS Project, Word and Excel
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Demonstrates a basic knowledge of key operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
• Understands project management methods.
• Provides reliable financial forecasts to management.
• Manages internal as well as external resources.
• Able to communicate the direct value our capabilities will provide to our business partners and customers.
• Demonstrated strong expertise within relevant fields or disciplines. Strong knowledge or business experience in other business units or functional areas of the company. Should know basic network technologies and be able to communicate within the context of
the technology. Should be fluent in the English language.

• Typically, a BS degree in Math, Science, Engineering preferred (full time) or equivalent related network infra experience
• PMP Certification
• ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
