About this role

The Client Business teams are responsible for the strategy and distribution of the breadth and depth of BlackRock’s platform and products, including open-end funds, closed-end funds, alternatives and managed accounts, among others, working in partnership with financial intermediaries. Our sales and relationship management professionals build and maintain client relationships, work closely with professionals across BlackRock to provide outstanding service, and are responsible for the strategy and distribution of BlackRock’s platform.

What will you do as a student worker?

• Work closely with senior sales to facilitate client relationships and account management
• Participate in the day to day management of sales support activities for the Institutional Sales team
• Coordinate and partner closely with different internal departments, including legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless sales operations
• Participate in providing performance data to clients, handling clients’ questions / queries on product and other sales related matters
• Participate in performing due diligence on clients and facilitating onboarding of new funds
• Focus on sustaining the highest level of client service, while being rigorous in executing tasks and escalating to the hierarchy .
• Assist relationship managers in leveraging service delivery functions effectively and appropriately to increase client service quality.
• Build a strong knowledge of BlackRock’s service delivery framework, products and capabilities, remaining current on industry and market developments as well as major activities, challenges and successes within BlackRock.

What capabilities are we looking for?

• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency in responding to client service and sales support enquiries
• Very structured and organized person able to manage a monthly calendar of deliverables
• Ability to develop strong collaborative working relationships with key client business and service delivery stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high self-assurance, energy and drive
• Willingness to learn and grow with
• Master’s degree educated
• Proficient IT skills - all Microsoft office products and able to pick up other systems
• Self-motivated, pro-active and rigours; individual with a can-do attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in both French and English.
