Point of contact for all sites regarding Collins Transportation Management System (TMS). Role is responsible for driving governance of Business Process and Master Data Management, on both outbound and inbound. The TMS Governance Lead is about culture, process, and people. The position must act as a change agent to drive behavior within Collins. This includes the ability to independently influence. Additionally, the role supports development and maintenance of a design plan for the TMS architecture between the 3rd party TMS Partner and Internal Collins systems to meet business, data, and compliance requirements.

This individual can sit at any Collins Aerospace domestic location or remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

COMMERCIAL

· Statement of Work (SOW) – Execute the SOW with the TMS Partner regarding integration, data governance, and business process management. If needed, modify with amendment to reflect continuous integration and value-add.

· Continuous Improvement - Quantifies and qualifies opportunities for continuous improvement (TMS enhancements) in areas of process, productivity and system capability that result in cost/overhead efficiencies or service improvements to TMS users.

· Drive Savings - Drives the TMS Partner and Collins Organization to achieve $15M in TMS-related savings targets by 2024.

GOVERNANCE

· Define – Work with site logistics leadership, supplier leadership, supplier shippers, buyers, carriers, Collins Digital Technology (DT), Collins Central Logistics, and TMS partner to ensure TMS has all data requirements needed are properly mapped during integration. Define “good data” and “bad data” for TMS inputs and outputs.

· Maintain – Develop standard processes to maintain and streamline the TMS. Develop “exception messages for bad data” as it is generated and align the required stakeholders to correct using Standard Work.

· Documentation - Complete and maintain TMS integration and data documentation as required for Standard Work, Process Alignment, and Training.

· Evolve - Captures Voice of the Customer. Recommends value-add improvement in the organization’s use of the TMS by Process-Driven Master Data Management integration enhancements.

MANAGEMENT/COMMUNICATIONS

· Present - Works closely with key stakeholders, including senior level executive sponsors to define project scope and ensure timely delivery of all project components. Presents status of project regularly to cross functional Program Management Office (PMO). Present to Collins Site and Collins Strategic Business Units (SBU) leads on correct business processes and train on data integrity.

· Support - Work as a liaison between the 3rd Party TMS provider, Collins Digital Technology and the Logistics functions.

· Process – Work with SBU and site logistics leadership, Global Trade, supplier leadership, supplier shippers, buyers, carriers TMS partner and other internal and external stakeholders to develop TMS data requirements needed for solution design.

· Interface – Work with Collins sites, suppliers and TMS provider to drive process change and system enhancements that help improve system compliance

· Standard Work - Act as a change agent in the TMS project while driving standard processes across the organization. Manages the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and on-going governance of the TMS including the interaction with upstream and downstream parties.

· Communicates – Communicate critical TMS changes and disruptions timely to leadership, internal customs, and external suppliers/customers.

OTHER

· Ad-hoc: Additional responsibilities as defined by the TMS Group Lead or the PMO.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience. In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
• Must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior TMS experience
• Certification with Institute of Supply Management (ISM) and Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) are not required, yet valued
