The Therapeutic Area Manager is a member of the Agile Team, reporting to the Sales Manager and key responsible for supporting the Commercial Lead and the Core Team in brand & customer marketing in Sweden.

  • Drive deep understanding of what motivates patients and the HCPs that care for them, acting on this through ownership, taking part in the creation and responsible for the implementation of an integrated brand plan, with considerations to the current market access conditions and challenges.
  • Enable a high customer focus within the Cross-functional team by supporting Commercial lead and execute on tactics prioritized by Core Team

Business Strategy and Management

  • Achieving best-in-class customer focus with significant dedicated time for regular interactions with customers both face to face interactions and through Takeda’s digital channels, office/field 40/60
  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of an Omni-channel Engagement Plan with relevant stakeholders, working closely with “Omnichannel Project Lead” and taking into consideration the BU Omnichannel Roadmap and focus channels
  • The successful achievement of tactical objectives and milestones outlined within the Strategic Marketing Plan for Rare Oncology/ Hematology including but not limited to:
  • Development and implementation of promotional materials
  • Create programs and tactics customized to different customer groups including HCPs, patients, patient associations and media
  • Take the lead of Company congress activities
  • Development and implementation of a relevant patient support services in line with strategic planning
  • Has a strong understanding of the local Oncology/ Hematology market and closely monitors environmental changes and competitor activities in order to be able to fine tune planned tactics
  • Identifies actions to strengthen product positioning (eg. direct medical development, labeling changes) to maximize brand performance. Anticipates and capitalizes on stakeholders’ market trends to create a competitive advantage. Recommends and gains approval from Commercial lead for alternative approaches to maximize brand opportunities
  • Directing generation and analysis of data to seek out opportunities to support recommendations for strategic direction based on demand and market dynamics.
  • Achieving the above through effective liaising, networking and working relationships with Core team and Pool Team

Effective team and cross functional working internally and externally

  • Being an active member in the “Agile Team”, working closely with Sales Manager, Key Account Managers and Strategic Account Manger to ensure achieving Takeda ́s goals in supporting patients and being perceived as a Preferred Partner with our Stakeholders

Financial Management

  • Support Commercial Lead in effective budget control and resource management within predefined project budgets.

Communication

  • Developing and maintaining strong, effective and constructive team relationships (Agency, Specialists and their associations, Advisory groups) and KOL networks by taking a leadership role in the communication and liaison between all pertinent external customers.

Risk Management and controls

  • Assisting Sales Manager, Commercial Lead and Business Unit Director in ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place.

SKILLS and COMPETENCIES

Key capabilities

  • Outside thinking rather inside focus; advocating patient and HCP perspective into the organization and enabling best-in-class Customer Experience.
  • Crucial that the candidate understands the specialty care business model where the brand/s operate including working with a KAM model.
  • Analytical, converts information into insights; monitoring market trends, uncovering unmet needs, identifying risks, barriers and opportunities at national level.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage both external and internal customers and willing to spend high amount of time with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert market and therapy knowledge into business success
  • Proven results in promoting pharmaceutical products with high demand of clinical explanation
  • Deep understanding of national healthcare system and experience in communicating and negotiating with healthcare decision-makers and managing complex networks
  • A personality that encourages cross-functional work in the account team, combined with a clear account leadership, responsibility, initiative and commitment

Experience

  • Experience of working as Key Account Manager preferably within Hematology/oncology area
  • Experience of working as a Product Manager permanent role or as a stretched assignment is a merit
  • Experience in managing customer relationships across the full spectrum of customer types in healthcare industry
  • Experience of Omni-channel Engagement of Stakeholders with focus on Digital Channels

Education

  • Bachelor Degree
  • LIF Education
  • Fluent written and spoken Swedish and English

Critical skills

  • Strategic thinking and good understanding of the business environment.
  • Create integrated business plans, including XFT activities aiming at shaping the market. Has a clear vision for the lifecycle path of the brand and drive for innovative interactions.
  • Maximizes the value offering to patient and customers, outside thinking rather inside focus; advocating patient and HCP perspective into the organization and enabling best-in-class customer experience
  • Proactive in working effectively and co-cooperatively with colleagues across functions
