Job Description

Our goal is to provide HR support to all our Bosch companies that fall within the responsibility of HRL-De, covering 7 satellite offices as well as the main Denham location. As a key supporting function, we strive to be HR experts so we can act as your strategic and operational partner. We now are now seeking to recruit an HR Advisor (HRBP) to join our existing team, supporting the TSS (technical training services) business unit, part of the AA-AS business unit, based out of our Manchester office. There will be the requirement to travel to the other locations that this role will support.


Overview and Purpose :

The HR Advisor provides operational guidance and support to the business, executives and associates in the allocated area of responsibility in all operative HR matters. The HR Advisor acts as an equal partner with the Business, leading discussions regarding leadership, organisational changes, employment law, performance management and any other topic related to the employee lifecycle; exchanging views freely that enable compliance with current legislation and company practices, and to maximise the contribution and performance of associates.

Responsibilities /Tasks include :

  • Protect the commercial interests of the company and the Business Units that they are responsible for.
  • Engagement with senior managers and heads of department on all related HR topics and business activities
  • May be required to provide some support with administration of HR activities such as preparing HR documents, maintaining personnel records, updating HR databases
  • Provide operational advice and guidance to both the senior management team and business units across the organisation. Promote the HR Strategy within the business, aligning this with company strategy.
  • Collaboration with International and Regional HR counterparts across Bosch.
  • Regular attendance and participation in Management, Divisional or Strategy meetings. Management of Succession Planning activities and multiple Stakeholder management requirements, relationship management and influencing/negotiations.
  • Facilitating workshops on HR related issues, including performance management, conflict management and sickness absence
  • Management and facilitation of HR development activities including development discussions and associate talent reviews as well as working on HR projects,
  • HR Project Management responsibility, including engagement of key stakeholders within the Business where appropriate
  • Supporting the management and facilitation of the Annual Salary Review and Bonus processes
  • Support with updating and implementation of company policy and procedures, ensuring compliance with UK employment law, whilst also identifying what is right for the Business
  • Responsibility for HR related activities, using good levels of knowledge to ensure the company is compliant with UK legislation, including settlement discussions where appropriate, with the support of an HRBP.
  • Recruitment responsibility for dedicated client groups, from associate level through to Senior Management. Supporting Graduate recruitment, helping to identify the future talent for the company.
  • Software packages used are Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Outlook, SAP Successfactors.

Qualifications

Your Profile:

  • Educated to a degree or similar level. A CIPD qualification or relevant would be advantageous.
  • To have previous generalist experience within a large multi-national organisation, with a good understanding of HR processes would be desirable.
  • Project and process orientated mind set, with an analytical approach.
  • Operational and strategic planning capability.
  • Good level working knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • Resilience and ability to influence in discussions with the business and escalating where appropriate.
  • Ability to think on your feet escalate to the Senior HRBP/HR leader to help find solutions, and adjust accordingly whilst reaching target end goal.
  • Proficient IT skills including SAP desirable
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Creative thinker
  • Strong communicator across all levels of the organisation and with external contacts.
  • Confident presentation skills
  • German language skills advantageous but not essential
