Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in either partnership management, business strategy, or business development.
  • Experience in civics, government, non-governmental organizations, or other related sectors with a focus on building and implementing strategy and partnerships.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Portuguese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to clarify and summarize complex issues and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to serve as an advocate for our partners internally and work collaboratively to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
  • Ability to operate successfully with ambiguity.
  • Ability to speak and write in Spanish fluently.
  • Desire to be a thought partner to Product teams to activate Search product vision for your given industry.
  • Exceptional analytical and reasoning skills to structure partnership models and take on technical, agreement, and financial issues.

About the job

Google’s Global Partnerships organization works with a wide range of external partners to help build Google products through product-enabling relationships (e.g. data licensing, content partnerships, API/platform integrations, and technology licensing, etc.). Some of the areas Global Partnerships enables include: Search, Google Assistant, Maps, Local, Research and Machine Intelligence, Developer Products, Google Lens, Social Impact, Google Shopping, Travel, Ads, Web, and Core.

In this role, you will develop and execute global partnerships strategies that enable Search to meet its product goals, with a focus on Social Impact industries. This includes helping build our civics and elections products, crisis response alerts and tools, Google Arts and Culture platform, education, and economic opportunity resources. You will work closely with product leaders and cross-functional teams to source, discuss, and execute complex agreements for Google, as well as develop go-to market strategies for scaling new ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Product and other cross-functional teams to drive social impact product partnerships from concept to launch to ongoing partner management.
  • Define industry strategy, identify new product-enabling partnership opportunities, and develop go-to-market plans for product areas such as Civics and Elections, Crisis Response, Arts and Culture, Education, and other areas.
  • Source and value potential partnerships, perform due diligence on the partner/content, and lead an agreement through execution and/or scale partner adoption as necessary for a new product ecosystem.
  • Understand product launches/plans and implications for Google and its partners; lead related internal and external communication and strategy.
  • Represent Google’s position to partners where applicable; build, maintain, and evolve relationships with partners.
