Job Description

Job Purpose/Overview:

Manage inbound material procurement process in SAP P12 system. Maintain proper inventory of raw materials to support daily production and manage site inventory levels within targeted goals. Manage aged inventory and SOI conversion process. Communicate daily with suppliers, Mars Commercial and plant operations. Additional duties include management of various site facility needs to include office and production supply ordering, uniform vendor management and facility grounds maintenance.

Quality and Food Safety requirements
Communicate and Escalate supply concerns and manage resolution

Context and Scope:

Coordinate daily with Production Planning, Operations, Shipping and Receiving and QA to ensure sufficient raw materials are available to meet production demands. Ensure SAP POs are entered in a timely manner and manage lead times and safety stock. Communicate and escalate shortage of supply concerns and work to resolution. Manage aged inventory and returns as needed. Participate and lead assigned MSE / Continuous Improvement efforts. Additionally, support the site with Facility needs such as cleaning crew, uniform service, and grounds maintenance management.

Education & Professional Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree preferred in business or related field; or equivalent work experience in MRP and Inventory Control

Knowledge & Experience:

2+ years experience in raw material planning for food manufacturing. SAP and Excel knowledge is required.
