Job Description BAE Systems has a current Joint Service Technical Data (JTD) /Graphics Illustrator opportunity supporting our F-35 team in Fort Worth, Texas.
Job Summary:
Creation of technical illustrations and graphics used in the development and sustainment of Joint-Service Technical Data (JTD) for the F-35 Program.
Responsibilities include the conception, design and layout of graphics in direct support of authored Operation and Maintenance (O&M) procedures, Time Compliance Technical Documents (TCTD), Flight Series (FS) information for pilots, Theory of Operation, and Structural Repair and Inspection (JSRD). Employee will utilize technical illustration software and access multiple integrated engineering tools and systems during the creation process, manipulating and transforming 2D drawings and 3D models derived from a variety of engineering and vendor source documentation / source data into the delivered product.
Position is fast paced with an output of 70 to 100 graphics a month.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor’s Degree (BFA or BA) in art-related field (such as Graphic Design) or
Associate Degree in Technical Illustration / Computer Aided Design.
Knowledge of both vector (linear) and raster (pixel) based graphics.
Familiarity with vector graphics software; IsoDraw, Auto-trol, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW.
Familiarity with 3D modeling software; Dassault CATIA product line, PTC Creo (formerly Pro/ENGINEER), Seimens NX (formerly Unigraphics).
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Familiarity with illustration and graphic design in a collaborative digital electronic environment.
Internship in graphic design supporting engineering or technical training.
Experience in writing technical documentation.
