Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in compliance, risk management, auditing, legal, consulting, or within a technical risk management discipline.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience driving plans with internal/external partners and assessment/audit findings.
  • Experience driving and managing training, analysis, and effectiveness assessments.
  • Experience with supplier management with a focus on risk mitigation.
  • Knowledge of risk management processes, grievance mechanisms, anti-harassment programs, etc.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence stakeholders, vendors, and global teams.
  • Ability to analyze, manage, and track large datasets.

About the job

The Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team manages Google’s Extended Workforce. The xWS team is responsible for the strategy, governance, and operations across the Temporary, Vendor, and Contractor space. Our team makes it easy for Google managers to engage with the workforce, providing training, standards, and guidelines to minimize Google’s risk and offer data/insights on planning and strategy for engagements. We provide processes, tools, and know-how to support the lifecycle of contingent workforce engagements, so our businesses can make informed decisions to put the right talent in the right locations.

The xWS Supplier Risk team’s mission is to create confidence in Google’s operations and buying decisions by mitigating extended workforce supplier risk. Our focus is driven by higher regulatory obligations and impact of our external workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Supply Chain, Ethics and Compliance, Employment Legal, and other teams to drive supplier risk mitigation projects.
  • Ensure extended workforce meets Google’s labor, ethics, privacy, information security, and health/safety requirements.
  • Manage on-site and virtual assessments, audits, and remediation action plans.
  • Support training and communications regarding Google’s risk initiatives and other compliance requirements among extended workforce suppliers.
