Job Description

NerdWallet is looking for a contract HR Coordinator to join our growing People Team. You will be part of a team of HR professionals that care deeply about providing a great employee experience so our Nerds can do their best work. As a contract HR Coordinator you will be an important part of helping to execute on integral tasks and key projects and programs. This is a six-month contract.

Where you can make an impact:

  • Own HR related day-to-day administrative tasks such as updating and ensuring accuracy of employee files and data, various audits, and other HR related projects
  • Welcome new Nerds to the company and help facilitate orientation
  • Support Nerds transitioning out of the company
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
  • Manage projects and work with key stakeholders on partner teams, such as Recruiting, IT, Accounting, and Workplace Operations
  • Collaboration on special projects, as needed

Your experience:

We recognize not everyone will have all of these requirements. If you meet most of the criteria below and you’re excited about the opportunity and willing to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

  • 2-3 years experience in an administrative role; 1 year minimum HR experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google applications, Asana and Slack
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

  • This role will be based in San Francisco, CA or remote (based in the U.S.).
