What is the opportunity?

RBC Bank is embarking on an exciting journey and we are looking for a passionate SCRUM Master to bolster our delivery and engineering team in support of launching new lines of businesses and services in the US.

You will be joining an expanding delivery team of RBC Bank located just outside of Research Triangle Park with a mandate to organize and accelerate our software delivery pipelines. You will enable our scrum team to run a medium-to-complex agile development process to seamlessly align with business and technical needs. The Scrum Master is a key role within an Agile delivery team as it removes any impediments that obstruct a team’s pursuit of its sprint goals and delivering the products and services our clients love.

Your interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to articulate and enunciate complex concepts will be strong assets that will help you succeed in this position.

What will you do?

• Remove impediments to delivery success through the proactive management of external dependencies, team problem-solving and the development of new approaches to ongoing challenges;
• Facilitate collective decision-making, goal setting, conflict resolution; and promote joint accountability for results and productivity issues
• Pro-actively aid in business analysis, user experience and technical conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence
• Accountable for creating and maintaining the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environment
• Accountable for agile metrics and KPI tracking both inward to help the team improve, and for reporting and forecasting
• Facilitate status scrum ceremonies, product demos, and aid in agile financial reporting

What do you need to bring?

• Certified Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner + practical experience with any of the key disciplines required in agile delivery – such as software development or business (system) analysis
• 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master attached to software development teams delivering web applications
• Experience bridging agile teams with interdependencies on vendors and non-agile deliverables.

• SAFe and/or Agile Release Train experience
