SUMMARY:

This position will be reporting to Operations Director, with the responsibility for the creation, setup and implementation of Project Management Office (PMO) to support Oakville to drive all of our critical transformation projects to be successful and on time. As the manager, you will help identify and oversee the key business projects and ensure they are completed on time and within budget. You will also lead and manage the CORE / CI group and the new manager of digital technology for Oakville.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the definition and implementation of PMO processes, milestone gate, templates, and tools to support the program and the site transformation
  • Coach and mentor, our Site Project Managers on the deployed PMO process and support them with change management as required.
  • Lead consolidation for all Oakville key projects and ensure standard Project Management deliverables and practices are consistently understood, tracked, and adhered to, and in line with the Site business strategies, plans, initiatives and priorities.
  • Build and analyze resource planning within the projects, work planning and effort estimation, highlighting risks, roadblocks and escalate to management.
  • “Look ahead of the curve mentality”, Make timely, sound business decisions that support the business objectives and be concise to present project summary to Oakville Senior Leadership team.
  • Lead the Oakville Operations digital transformation and work in partnership with the Landing Gear Digital Strategy team to execute on Industry 4.0 initiatives.

KEY OAKVILLE INITIATIVES

  • CIMCO Andon and Turnback tracking System; Evolve and maintain
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) – Launch for Oakville in 2022
  • Digitize the Tier Management System – Harmonize across the Oakville Site
  • Lead the Core / CI Journey, coordinating with various site leaders, to complete their assessments, and drive lean / CI transformation activities throughout the site, using various CORE tools and Kaizen to achieve the goals and objectives
  • Lead the sites PDPR events, and monthly site PD and control tower reviews.
  • Lead the team to continuously improve visual management, 5s and FOd programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in relevant discipline and 7 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Completion of a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is required
  • Completion of ACE / Core Champion Training / Expert knowledge and experience with Project Management Principles
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Techniques and applications (Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Sliver Certified preferred
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Project managing project timelines and related resources
  • Hands-on experience in Excel, Microsoft Project and Power Point, Analytical experience on big data using MS Excel or any other DB
  • Great leadership capabilities with ability to build successful cross-functional teams including inspiring, attracting, selecting, developing, coaching, mentoring and retaining Project Management talent.
  • Excellent influence, negotiation, and collaboration skills, at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conflict management and resolution skills – with the ability to build consensus, anticipate and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
