The Technology Manager, Enterprise Operations will support technology management activities across Operations and Quality Global Trade. These responsibilities include performing export and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification determinations under US and Non-US regulations, keeping up to date on changes to Trade Regulations that impact export and HTS classifications, communicating flow down information to GT classifiers, and performing monthly auditing/reporting for classification process review and validation. This position will have a development plan to reach a Senior Technology Manager level.

The work location of this role will be Puerto Rico to ensure efficient and effective technology management training necessary for junior employees, timely support for technology management projects and activities at the PR site. There will be opportunity to work remote, in a hybrid capacity with the majority of the time is expected to be on site.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform Jurisdiction/Classification and Harmonized Tariff Classification across Enterprise Operations.
• Direct support to U.S. regime direct classifications in xClass for individual or mass requests. This responsibility aligns any complex individual requests and/or transfers from classifiers, and performs verifications, reclassifications as well as addresses any regulatory changes.
• Support projects arising out of regulatory changes
• Providing technology management support to the portfolios (Operations Modernization, Quality and Supply Chain) and functional groups, such as Imports.
• Direct support to U.S. regime in Puerto Rico proactively identifying processes in need of item classifications and adding these into xClass (for fixtures and tooling, technical data management and software).
• Indirect support across different regimes, reviewing mass classification items to align to any regulatory changes, GT360’s and/or business needs.
• Perform transactional testing for US regime xClass functional areas.
• Develop standard work for related Technology Management processes within Operations and Quality GT
• Develop training content and provide JC and HS training across the U.S. Regime
• Provide targeted TM flow down for classifiers across U.S. Regime

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience OR
• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
• Must be a US Citizen
• English proficiency level: fluent. The candidate must be able to stand alone in business conversations and providing training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management experience
• A working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR - 22 CFR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR - 15 CFR)
• A self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Ability to learn and utilize many different application tools (SAP, SharePoint, Excel, Quantum, EASE, Access, Web based tools, etc.)
• Able to work with minimum supervision due to hybrid status
