Job Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for performing test engineering activities for RF/Microwave products and sub-assemblies developed for commercial, military and space markets where much of the effort is in automation design/support. You will plan and implement test tasks that include interpreting test requirements, writing test plans, crafting test hardware, designing test software and support characterization, testing and debugging device under test for commercial, military, and space markets. Ideal candidates have a strong hardware engineering background.

Requirements

• 2+ years systems integration and hardware test experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting Specialized Test Equipment (STE).
• Experience with generating STE documentation.
• Experience with STE assembly.
• Experience with STE sustaining and maintenance activities.
• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Up to 10% travel.

Preferences

• Experience in RF test system design and automation.
• Proficiency with programming in one or more languages such as LabVIEW, TestStand, Python or equivalent programming languages.
• Hands-on experience using lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
• Working knowledge of RF amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, and transceivers.
• Working knowledge of programming and controlling test equipment through SCPI commands.
• Skilled in test automation and design of production test equipment for RF products.
• Experience working with supply chain.
• Experience with Test Stand scripting.
• Test Fixture Design, JTAG, digital/analog functional and RF parametric test development.
• Experience with tactical data links.
• Ability to review large amounts of test data to identify, isolate, troubleshoot, and accurate test equipment issues, and unit failures
• Familiarity with BOM structure and ability to define and evaluate STE documentation such as elevation drawings, interconnect drawings, etc.
