What you’ll be doing...
You’ll be working on a shared 50/50 basis as counsel for both the European Regulatory & Government Affairs and the European Commercial Legal team. On the Regulatory side, reporting into the Director for Central and Eastern Europe, you will work on a wide variety of regulatory, privacy and public policy issues in close interaction with external bodies, including regulators, government bodies and trade associations. You will also be supporting the team’s subject matter experts (SMEs) for one or more specific horizontal matters that are relevant for all European countries, with a focus on product reviews and our telematics business. On the Legal side, reporting on a dotted line basis to the Director for Commercial Legal you will support Verizon’s sales and commercial teams in all countries in Europe by undertaking a wide variety of commercial legal matters including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contractual documentation for Verizon’s services and solutions including at the RFP post contract stages.
You’ll ideally be based in Frankfurt, Germany but in a flexible post-Covid work environment we are open for alternative approaches.
What we’re looking for...
You are passionate and knowledgeable about regulation and policy trends in the digital and telecommunications sector. You are curious, a quick learner and eager to explore new territories. We need someone who is proactive, likes to take the initiative and is able to juggle multiple projects, self-manage and prioritize effectively and work efficiently under pressure. A “can-do” attitude is essential.
