Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Technical Product Management (i.e. creating product roadmap(s) from conception to launch and working with cross-functional teams).
  • Experience driving the product goal, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.
  • Experience developing Internet products and technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience with technical product management, with setting strategic direction, and aligning cross-product/cross-team roadmaps in complex, multi-stakeholder spaces.
  • Technical experience in software development, from formal education, work, or personal experience.
  • Experience collaborating with user research, ux design, and ux engineering.
  • A passion for, and knowledge of typography and iconography.
  • Interest in content creators, designers, and developers as users.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will help enable and evolve communication for people around the world. You will be responsible for Google's brand expression, and the delivery of typography and icons across Google product ecosystems. You will directly impact on how people experience Google products, and our company mission to make the world's information universally accessible.

Additionally, you will take on large challenges and seek out new capabilities. You will work advocate for all of our users, from internal product designers and developers, to people who use Google’s products and across the web.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to define goals and strategy for Google's Fonts, Icons, and Emoji product and support infrastructure.
  • Own defining overall client delivery strategy, and ownership of adoption including Google-scale programs.
  • Define roadmaps for text and icons on Google’s platforms and the web.
  • Lead the execution of the product roadmap and delivery to client teams.
  • Define the product goal and strategy with our design and engineering team, communicate to stakeholders, partner teams, and client teams. Work with our Go-To-Market and Developer Relations partners to build strategy.
