Job Description

What is the opportunity?

This is a 12 month contract role.

As a HR Marketing Manager for Learning & Performance, you are responsible for leading marketing and enablement plans that drive awareness, engagement, adoption and utilization of Learning and Performance programs while enhancing RBC’s reputation to inspire and grow talent to set us apart. You’ll join the Solution Enablement and Marketing team built with motivated marketers in Human Resources dedicated to bringing RBC’s storytelling to life.

You are a strategic thinker, creative, resourceful, solution-oriented and tenacious in your work. You leverage your rich background in marketing/communications/creative storytelling and work with our internal subject matter experts or agency partners to deliver innovative marketing strategies to support Learning and Performance key initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Strategize and partner with Learning and Performance Product Managers to create integrated marketing plans for the launch of new products to our workforce.
  • Enhance Learning and Performance’s internal reputation and brand through marketing efforts. Actively seek out opportunities to cross-promote resources and programs based on current events, trending content and themes.
  • Oversee project scope, timelines, and budget along with performance metrics.
  • Provide leadership and foster collaboration with integrated support teams, stakeholders, and agency partners.
  • Create compelling, engaging content to support content-driven integrated strategies. Help identify the most effective communication channels and approaches to reach relevant, internal target groups and help to develop content through these channels with the appropriate messaging.
  • Monitor the performance of programs, uncover insights on utilization and engagement of marketing efforts for continuous improvement. Leverage a variety of sources to build regular reports including analytics dashboards, feedback loops including surveys and lessons learned.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in marketing/PR/communications working with multiple stakeholders and agencies on the successful planning and execution of programs and initiatives
  • First-rate communication, writing and storytelling skills, with confidence presenting to audiences of different seniority
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, timelines & effectively lead a project team
  • Strategic, influential and ability to build strong relationships with partners

Nice to have:

  • Experience in fast-paced environments and large matrix organizations
  • University or college diploma in communications and/or marketing
  • Design experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular InDesign and/or Photoshop
  • Experience in a HR or Learning & Performance role and/or programs
  • Experience using internal intranets and communication tools like Poppulo and/or RBC Connect
