Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages.
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science.
• Experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, developing large software systems.
• Excellent coding skills in C/C++.

As a YouTube Senior Software Engineer, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.

• Design, implement, and launch major software components and systems directly impacting highly-visible, user-facing features.
• Lead technical designs.
• Coordinate technical work among your team and partner teams.
