About the job

People Operations is always looking to make the experience of work better and more meaningful for Googlers. Innovating and operating is increasingly complex when Googlers work in many countries, each with its own unique practices and regulations. The Integrity team works to make sure we not only do what’s required by law, but that we continue to raise the bar and do what’s right for Googlers all over the globe.

As a Labor Relations Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for establishing and managing labor relations for the APAC region. You will partner closely with teams across Google to implement programs and initiatives that are subject to local information and consultation processes.

Great just isn't good enough for our People Operations team (known elsewhere as "Human Resources"). We bring the world's most innovative people to Google and provide the programs that help them thrive. Whether recruiting the next Googler, refining our core programs, developing talent, or simply looking for ways to inject some more fun into the lives of our Googlers, we bring a data-driven approach that is reinventing the human resources field. You’ll play an essential role advancing a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive Google through our hiring, promotion, retention, and inclusion practices.

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert and trusted advisor on labor relations matters for People Operations, other support functions, and line management
  • Assess emerging labor issues promptly, appropriately, and consistently in line with the broader labor relations strategy
  • Monitor and identify internal and external labor relations trends, gaps, and challenges, and design and implement risk-mitigation measures
  • Develop and deliver labor relations training to improve employee engagement and ensure compliance with labor law
  • Build constructive relationships with key stakeholders to gather and share information and influence change, and apply project management skills to drive action, deliver results, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
