It will be the responsibility the West Coast Account Manager - Airport Sales to provide a Single Point of Contact for Customer Relationship issues, business or technical, that may arise during the term of a customer agreement, and ensure they are handled and managed in a timely manner. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing ongoing airport and airline accounts in the US and Canada to achieve customer satisfaction and secure account retention.

This position to be based on the West Coast (office or home-office).

Responsibilities:

  • Team leading, multi-tasking and financial management to manage ongoing customer contracts
  • Negotiating scope and terms with subcontractors
  • Leading a diverse team of people to deliver successful change order work to projects exceeding customer expectations.
  • Preparing costing estimates and proposals for follow-on work / add on.
  • Contributing to sales/marketing efforts, including customer presentations and being alert to new business opportunities and directing them to the appropriate sales staff, and therefore being knowledgeable of all Collins Aerospace Airport Systems products and services to add strategic value to customer needs.

The Account Manager will facilitate the proper disposition of technical, logistical, and operational Customer requests and day-to-day business needs. Additional responsibilities will include, without limitation, the following:

  • Manage Customer’s requested moves/adds/changes/deletions
  • Development of Budgetary Proposals for new equipment, addition of authorized users or out of scope
  • Schedule and attend customer meetings. The meeting agenda may cover the following aspects:
    • Adhere and facilitate Airport change management process;
    • Review of patch management process (if applicable);
    • Own and Follow up on any ongoing support issues;
    • Monthly report content and trends.
  • Airport and the Account Manager will work on a mutually-agreeable format and content of the reports.
  • Address Airport contractual and billing issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
  • The successful candidate must have eight or more years of job-related experience, including four years of related experience as a Account Manager, Relationship Manager or Sales Manager with total work experience exceeding this, ideally within the aviation industry.
  • English (French speaking as an additional language is a plus).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and a proven track record of successful account management.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with ability to manage day-to-day account management issues autonomously.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools as well as financial management experience.
