Software Engineer Intern

Job Description

Ibotta is seeking Summer 2022 Software Engineering Interns to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to create software to help accelerate the growth of Denver’s leading consumer tech startup. The ideal candidate will be eager, flexible and excited to work in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

This will be a full-time, 12 week, internship during the summer of 2022. This position is located in Denver, Colorado with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

• Learn about Ibotta’s very successful software development process
• Be part of a cross-functional team to design, develop and release new features that will be used by millions of users
• Create and help review well-tested software
• Use Amazon’s AWS infrastructure and advanced services daily
• Participate in system designs and code reviews

What we are looking for:

• Juniors or Seniors working towards a bachelor’s/master’s degree with a focus in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science or related field
• Exposure to multiple languages and frameworks (Python, Java, Ruby, Javascript)
• Understand software testing and CI/CD concepts
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures
• Proven ability to think creatively and implement ideas from start to finish
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Hunger to learn and collaborate with your teammates

Additional Details:

• This position is located in Denver, CO or with the option of full-time remote and includes competitive pay.
• The hourly compensation for this role is: $35.00 per hour worked. This compensation is specific only to Colorado.
