About THE ROLE

PVH Retail is responsible for circa 50% of the Northern Hub (UK, Netherlands, Nordic region & Ireland) total business. It is a fast paced, energetic and open environment - where everyone has a voice and is highly encouraged to contribute. Our teams operate autonomously, but with one consistent red thread that runs through our retail business – ‘Retail Working as One’. We are one team, made up of five key departments: Buying, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations and our Store Teams on the ground, driving our business. Our focus is always stores’ first. We put our teams on the ground, serving our consumers, at the forefront of everything we do.

Reporting to the Retail Operations Director – Northern Hub, this role is responsible for the development and the implementation of the projects related to the new sales spaces in UK, EIR, Netherlands, Nordic region. Owning the whole process, monitoring the construction site, checking the quality workmanship and the timing of the activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Engaged in the projects of new openings / relocations / restructuring of new retail spaces, supporting the local retail directors and / or the VP of Omni Channel Northern Hub.
  • Creating and delivering the properties strategy is key to the role and ensuring the department delivers on – Store projects, facilities SLA and supplies procurement
  • Establishes relationship with real estate brokers, business consultants, mall developers, landlords, contractors in order to effectively conduct and influence any negotiation involved for obtaining the best possible commercial / legal terms in the relevant area.
  • Support local hub retail directors in surveying new premises and preparing related dossier for HQ submission
  • Support local Retail Directors on regional expansion activities with reference to:
  • Adapting retail spaces to new product lines changes
  • Merging/reducing retail units
  • Minor works/ Light refits implementation
  • Wholesale Multi-brand projects implementation (UK & Ireland only)
  • SIS project implementation (UK & Ireland only)
  • Working in collaboration with the Amsterdam Head Office Store Development team ensure all projects are delivered on time and to budget
  • Drafts and reviews P&L analysis and presents business cases alongside the local retail director to the VP of Omni Channel Retail – Northern Hub
  • Create the Properties department strategy and set out the plan for the properties team to deliver the strategy in alignment with the Northern Hub functions and Amsterdam Head Office
  • Working with PVH Northern Hub and Amsterdam Head Office and external vendors ensure all new/refit stores are projects managed from start to finish
  • Strategically manage a clear communication structure with all key stakeholders throughout a new store life span to opening day
  • Own the selection of suppliers for ordinary maintenance, setting the service requirements
  • Control Ordinary Maintenance execution and related quality
  • Support Retail daily operations with reference to store maintenance needs in collaboration with Facility and ICT managers
  • Drive new store and SIS (UK & Ireland only) business plans approval process based on sales forecasts and profit margins (P&L per store) in cooperation with Finance and Retail Function for the Northern Hub Region
  • Create and deliver the facilities strategy for the owned and operated (O&O) stores.
  • Manage within the team the procurement of store supplies to O&O retail across the Northern Hub
  • Responsible for overseeing the tender process for projects, facilities and supplies for O&O retail
  • Within the Properties department manage key stakeholders and external contractors in ensuring a Repair and Maintenance program of repair and future proofing is in place
  • Ensure the Properties department sets key SLA agreements with external vendors across the Northern Hub
  • Manages and motivates subordinate staff; reviews and assesses performance, builds employee capacity, supports their professional development and enables employees to optimize their contribution to the department
  • Oversee the alignment with the finance retail teams and external consultants on contract negotiations, tender processes and procurement for all of our maintenance services

About YOU

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role in Fashion/Lifestyle Retail.
  • Experience in Fashion/Lifestyle Retail, Real Estate, Construction & Design and retail processes, systems and strategies
  • Background in Store operations, store development and Fashion/Lifestyle Retail or similar
  • Proven excellent organization and project management skills especially Planning, Time and budget Management.
  • Team player, excellent in building strong relationships with other divisions and our distributors.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Eye for strong attention to detail.
  • Able to travel.
  • Proven ability of dealing with ambiguous situations.
  • Proven ability of dealing with tight deadlines, competing priorities and high workload.
  • Ability to apply strategic filters in regards to information and communication.
