C.H. Robinson is looking to add a Senior Tax Accountant to its growing Tax Accounting team. In this new role, you will actively participate in the corporate tax department to ensure compliance with federal and international tax reporting requirements, supporting tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax planning related to C.H. Robinson’s non-US operations. Accelerate your career by working with internal and external tax planning and compliance professionals to support C.H. Robinson’s large cross-border logistics business. In addition, you will support the ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes process, assist with tax audits, and coordinate with C.H. Robinson’s foreign accounting teams. Our main priority continues to be the health and safety of our employees, this position will be remote until further notice. We will continue monitoring the circumstances and when we feel comfortable, this position will return to the office in Eden Prairie, MN where you will have an opportunity to collaborate face-to-face with a talented and diverse group of peers

Responsibilities:

• Prepare international components of the federal income tax returns
• Conduct research to analyze proposed and existing tax laws, regulations, and rulings
• Assist with tax audits and notices
• Assist in preparing Canadian tax filings and responding to CRA inquiries
• Prepare non-US aspects of the quarterly and annual income tax provisions
• Support process improvement and tax planning initiatives Act a resource for Legal, Accounting and Treasury to support our business operations and customers

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent discipline
• 3+ years tax or accounting experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a large corporate tax department
• Ability to travel 5-10% of the year (domestically and/ internationally)

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA and/or graduate degree
• Experience preparing international Forms 8859, 5471, 8865, etc.
• Knowledge of Canadian tax rules and forms
• Experience responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities
• OneSource or equivalent income tax compliance software experience, Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud Software or equivalent tax provision software experience
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently
