SUMMARY:

The Test Lab Supervisor for the Environmental Center of Test for Collins Aerospace leads a team of technicians as a working supervisor. This position requires a self-motivated individual that excels in a leading a team of technicians to achieve a common goal. This individual is responsible for supporting, controlling, and scheduling the pace of work through the various test areas noted in response to customer demand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordination of test schedules
  • Management of test specimens/units
  • Reporting test lab metrics
  • Coordinate with external equipment and services suppliers for maintenance and installation of equipment
  • Management of equipment including requesting replacement or new equipment
  • Lead preventative maintenance efforts
  • Train technicians on lab processes and procedures
  • NCR generation and reporting
  • Management of test data
  • Quoting of test activities for external sites
  • Ownership of 5S of the Test Lab
  • Occasional support of test technicians to perform test setup and execute tests
  • Manage Lab technician day to day needs
  • Other lab related duties as needed

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and experience:

  • Able to analyze, interpret, and record test data for Environmental certification testing.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office products to include Word and Excel
  • Must have good organizational skills and the ability to multitask and set priorities as necessary.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and exhibit excellent attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical

or operational practices OR

  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
