• 3 years of work experience programming in Java and Android based mobile application development

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience building front-end services for mobile applications in Java.
• Knowledge of mobile application architecture.

The Google Home/Nest app foundation team includes Android and iOS app engineers, as well as services engineers, and is chartered to define the architecture and build the foundation for the Android and iOS Google Home apps, as well as building core features of the apps. This is a full stack team, working all the way from front-end services through data layers to app features.

In this role, you will interact with all the feature and the core infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop Android applications in a team of Android and iOS app engineers in the Bangalore office.
• Design and implement full stack app foundation features and core app features for the Google Home Android app.
• Work with peers in the Google Home/Nest app feature teams to identify opportunities for app foundation features to increase productivity and increase velocity of app feature work.
• Work with Android, iOS, and services engineers to define the Google Home app architecture.
