Job Description

Eaton’s CPDI Division is seeking a Channel Marketing Specialist to join our team! This role can be located in Raleigh, NC OR Chicago, IL. This position is a hybrid work schedule (remote and in office) with a large amount of flexibility.

Position Overview:

The Channel Marketing Specialist is responsible for helping the organization drive sales in their assigned channel through marketing activities that leverage both the accounts and Tripp Lite’s marketing plans. The Channel Marketing Specialist will work with internal stakeholders (Account Managers, Sales Managers & Directors, Marketing Specialists, Coop, Marcom) and external account contacts to conceive, manage, optimize and execute on annual marketing plans and activity, increasing the amount and quality of activity, while reporting on plan and budget. The role will play a key part in developing the relationship with accounts as well as understanding their ecommerce and marketing strategy.

The Channel Marketing Specialist will be directly responsible for managing marketing for their accounts which includes our Datacom, Electric, Telecom and Office Supply accounts and territories. This role will reside within our Channel Marketing Department and report to the Director of Channel Marketing. We are looking for a self-motivated deadline-driven professional who can manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment with a demonstrated excellence in organization, time management and planning abilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, manage, execute and optimize annual marketing plans with a group of partners. Plan execution includes developing content, copy, product placement, creative, and all deliverables.
  • Track metrics and data to review marketing ROI and success, report output to stakeholders and adjust plan, promotions, advertised skus, etc... as needed to ensure optimized marketing and spend.
  • Manage your budget tightly, ensuring all spend activity is accounted for and makes financial sense, review all invoices, and work with the sales team to plan activity and spend.
  • Proactive team player and innovative thinker capable of creating new ways to grow our business with our partners, and passionate about understanding our partner marketing and ecommerce strategy
  • Be a business partner with our Sales organization to support the account and sales initiatives
  • Conceive and execute on sales incentive contests, spiffs and activities that will incent our partner AMs to sell more and build Tripp Lite mindshare and exposure
  • Leverage successes and wins across multiple accounts.
  • Collaborate consistently with Sales, support our sales initiatives and marketing initiatives with collateral creation including flyers, email blasts and campaigns, trainings, PowerPoints, etc...
  • Management of Tripp Lite product skus in partners systems and websites, including new skus and product launches
  • Event planning, from creating the plan of-action to putting the plan in place and handling shipments of materials, to sending follow-up communications, to working with event sales attendees to determine success of event.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit will be provided. All candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Raleigh, NC OR Chicago, IL to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, data analytics, and/or project management
  • Channel experience preferred
  • Manufacturing industry exposure preferred
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Proven ability in handling multiple deliverables and budget with attention to detail and accuracy along with structured approach to problem solving. Good copywriting skills.
  • High degree of business acumen
  • Creative quick-learner
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Inter-personal skills to interact with all levels of management
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
