In this role, you will be responsible for managing dynamic satellite capacity demand and supply in Viasat’s Global Enterprise & Mobility business segment. Your job responsibilities require that you:

General

• Fulfill overall responsibility for program execution through leadership, scheduling, financial reporting and budgeting, risk management, and driving consensus from internal and external stakeholders.
• Display proactive and flexible project-oriented dedication, with the ability to drive efficient execution with a variety of groups
• Proactively assess program status, risks, and opportunities and brief business area management on a regular basis
• Apply a collaborative/consultative working and leadership style, relying on common sense and personal competence for persuasion and consensus-building.

Specific

• Gather satellite capacity demand inputs from within the business segment, based upon their collective customer needs, and negotiate capacity commitments with internal suppliers to satisfy this demand
• Identify gaps between demand and supply and develop & implement corresponding mitigation plans
• Generate and update forecasts for the above and provide regular briefings to the business stakeholders, including creation of intuitive dashboards and financial reports
• Develop schedules and manage such projects to timely completion.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in program management or proven technical leadership experience
• Demonstrated experience in problem-solving; performing analysis, making trade decisions, and achieving program and business goals
• Ability to positively influence team members regardless of reporting relationships.
• Outstanding organization and communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar

Preferences

• Experience as a technology developer or system integrator of products/programs
• Direct experience leading and developing a cross-functional team
• Project/Program Management, PMP Certification a plus, but not required

This position is open to remote work.
