The R3 Mission Systems (MS) group is looking for a Scientist II to help execute and steer the cutting-edge capabilities that we aim to provide to the warfighter. This position involves a unique mixture of software, signal processing, and mathematics. The MS directorate works on programs and problems that involve signal processing, RF communications, software, object-oriented programming, radar, and electronic warfare. Fulfilling the expectations of this role include program execution, business capture, and whitepaper authoring. As a Scientist II you would be responsible for solving complex problems for our sponsored research programs and transitioning those disruptive technologies from research efforts into BAE System’s Business Areas’ products and services.
This position can be based out of our Merrimack, NH, Burlington, MA or Lexington, MA, though it will require collaboration with staff across our business areas and facilities in the Northeast.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with modelling tools and software languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience in being part of a multi-disciplinary project team in research or development.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Computer Science or similar field with 1-2 years of relevant demonstrated technical research.
