Full Stack Engineer, GTM Engineering

Job Description

As a platform company powering businesses all over the world, Stripe processes payments, runs marketplaces, and detects fraud, helping entrepreneurs start an internet business from anywhere in the world. GTM (Go To Market) Engineering is a newly formed team within our Business applications team that is pivotal to scaling our Global Sales and Marketing teams. This will be accomplished through tooling that enables an end to end workflow automation, services that enrich user experiences with data from multiple sources, platform level capabilities that enforce Stripe’s security bar while enabling integration with multiple first and third party systems and build custom solutions to complex problems facing our global user base.

As a full stack engineer in GTM Engineering, you’ll be building a suite of tools and services that help our Sales team discover and respond to opportunities that benefit Stripes’ users rapidly. You will have the opportunity to build and measure experiences that improve productivity and efficiency of our Sales and Marketing organization. You will have the opportunity to envision and build a secure platform that enables us to seamlessly integrate third party tools by holding a high security bar. You will have the opportunity to work on all parts of the stack, from backend infrastructure to frontend surfaces for configuring and representing end to end user flows.

We are looking for engineers with a strong background or interest in diving deep into ambiguous problems and designing services/solutions that unlock capabilities to further our tech stack. You’re comfortable dealing with many moving pieces, you work effectively across teams and functions, and you have exquisite attention to detail. You’re looking forward to learning new technologies, systems, and problem domains.

You will:

• Scope, design, and lead technical projects, laying the groundwork for solutions and iteratively evolve them to scale
• Design, build, and maintain internal user-facing experiences, APIs, services, and systems
• Create beautiful web surfaces and interactive dashboard experiences using technologies such as React, JavaScript and CSS
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the company including engineering, product, operations, finance, data science, accounting, sales, and operations Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
• Align our technical decisions with Stripe’s broad strategic initiatives, while also advocating for needs specific to Stripe’s Go to Market domain
• Develop and execute against both short- and long-term roadmaps. Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation

It’s not expected that any single candidate would have expertise across all of these areas. For instance, we have wonderful team members who are really focused on distributed systems, but haven’t worked on platforms or products before joining Stripe.
