Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to be a global Head of HR –supporting the Personal Health Cluster Leader and their management team in order to provide strategic HR advice as well as comprehensive HR support to the organization and enable a culture of performance and continued transformation. As such, the job incumbent will be required to create and implement strategic change management and HR plans and programs that directly support the annual operating plans, objectives & KPI’s of the business. You will report directly to Head of HR Business Clusters as well as report to the Global Cluster Leader.

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the Cluster Leader and the management team to create and drive the business strategy, while simultaneously translate the business strategy into a people and talent agenda
  • Provide strategic advice to the leadership team members on people-related issues. Challenge the leadership team - as appropriate - in order to ensure coordinated people and talent strategies, and fair people management practices
  • Build talent overall, including cross BG & Market talent plans, sharing of resources, and mentoring of top talent (especially with a focus on diversity)
  • Operate as an internal business consultant, acting as a change agent on key people and organizational challenges in order to build a strong performance culture. Own, and personally inspire change programs as appropriate.
  • Promote & coordinate capability development and strategic workforce planning. Also support performance planning management and other organizational development/people activities to continually improve organizational efficiency and required abilities upgrades.
  • As an integral member of the Global HR Leadership team, continue to deploy the Philips Global People Strategy (Workforce of the Future, Culture of Performance and Inclusion & Diversity)
  • Collaborate with the CoEs (rewards, LTO, Talent Acquisition, Philips University) to meet the particular needs of the business area and act as an effective steward of the HR Operating Model

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 15 years of relevant working experience in dealing with operational and strategic HR matters within an international context, in different business areas and geographies
  • Experience in developing and activating people strategic agenda and doing so globally
  • Leadership expertise – strong conceptual ability to set clear direction, strategies and goals for a geographically dispersed HR team with a proven record of accomplishment of execution
  • Experience in collaborating with and influencing the business area on HR needs
  • Proven success in all HR functional areas within a technically focused environment. Must be hands on and capable of delivering work with a lean organization
  • Proven success conducting comprehensive needs' analysis, organization design and development initiatives, implementing change and transformation efforts, and organization structures while providing ongoing optimization efforts
  • Experience in delivery of standardized core HR services through end-to-end framework and able to collaborate cross-functionally and globally
  • Strategic Talent Management (Strong people insights and ability to build a strong talent bench; career counseling; building phenomenal teams)
  • People Insights and EQ (Communication Skills, Contracting skills, ability to emotionally connect; to deal with conflict, ability to push back when needed, mentor and give direct feedback as well as building bridges )
  • Practice in making business decisions that align with organizational goals and able to translate complexly interrelated business challenges into a compelling and focused people-agenda
  • Experience of business transformation processes in fast-changing, global and sophisticated organizations
  • BS/BA degree required. A Master’s degree, or equivalent, ideally in a related field (such as human resources, psychology, counselling or business) is strongly preferred
